SynopsisRest and commune with others at PONDOK: i want water, but the jar can’t hold, a gathering inspired by traditional banquet forms of the region, from the kenduri to the slametan. Created by anthropos, PONDOK invites you to share in dishes informed by interviews with art workers on survival, sustenance, comfort foods and nourishment. How do individual care gestures of serving food and washing up contribute to the communal banquet experience?
You are also invited to bring a relic of a time when you deeply needed care: an old mixtape, a bottle of bubble solution, a love letter to yourself. These will contribute to a table of recipes, for attending to ourselves and others, within the quiet Rest & Digest Corner.
Finally, after filling your stomach at PONDOK, nourish your soul by singing your heart out at our Care-oke Karaoke session from 7.30-9.30pm!
Note: The food served will be halal with vegetarian options.
About the Arts Workersanthropos
Artistanthropos is a curatorial studio rooted in the belief that meaningful creative work emerges from the ordinary. The studio acts as an interlocutor between artists, makers, and the everyday. They fold into their process a focus on the poetics of the mundane; quiet routines and overlooked gestures through which sincere creative outputs flourish. Care and slowness inform anthropos’ approach to curation, foregrounding attentiveness and depth over spectacle. Drawing on independent and institutional curatorial expertise, the studio is committed to building long-term relationships across our ecosystem.
